ABOUT SARAH
Sarah Hassaine is a change and culture expert, having built a very colorful career working in different communities and in different countries. Upon graduating with her Bachelors in Political Science, she worked in refugee camps abroad and then interned with the United Nations. She stayed in non-profits running multi-million dollar projects and teams across the world in democracy development work and then pivoted into industry by joining Deloitte and solving business work flow operations for US Navy hospitals.
For the last 12+ years she has been in high-tech companies helping executives and people leaders achieve innovation and productivity through work in culture building, people development and corporate social responsibility as Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity.
Currently, she is independently consulting with nonprofits on AI business and people strategies - strongly honing in on the message that tech is a people issue. Her strengths lie in solving big problems for companies with empathy and a people-first approach. In 2024, she gave a Ted talk that made it worldwide and has spoken on hundreds of stages on culture, inclusion, mental health, community building, and women in the workforce, and other related topics.
Sarah is very civic-minded and serves on six nonprofit boards in San Diego providing guidance and strategic guidance in STEM, community resources, health and education access, and economic inclusion.
