ABOUT KIM
An accountant since college and an entrepreneur since the second grade, Kim Dawson spent 20+ years as a business owner, including running a brick-and-mortar business and co-founding a successful software startup. In 2015 she launched a consulting practice helping small business owners build profitable businesses they could feel good about. Combining her background in finance with a love of helping small businesses, she joined BBA Bookkeeping as the Director of Accounting and Advisory Services in 2026.
Kim is the author of Passion to Profits: Your Guide to Building a Successful Business You Love (Amazon Bestseller, 2018) and the former host of The Sassy Strategist Podcast. She believes in people before profits, and she's passionate about helping small business owners build businesses that support themselves, their teams, and their communities. When she's not working, you'll find her at the gym, dancing to her favorite music, or escaping with a fantasy novel.
