The mission of The Maine Women's Conference is to draw women together to connect, educate, inspire, and empower one another to assume new and expanded roles in the workforce, our lives and communities.
The Maine Women's Conference welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.
In 2016, a group of women had a massive idea. They wanted to bring a massive conference to Maine (like the Massachusetts Conference for Women) and create an experience unlike any other that the women of Maine, and beyond, had ever seen. Now, The Maine Women's Conference is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in the state of Maine with a 100% volunteer working Board. Our Board has a big vision for the future of The Maine Women's Conference and we look forward to growing each year and seeing where our passion and mission brings us in the years to come.
How to Get Involved: There are a number of different ways to get involved with The Maine Women’s Conference!
1. Lead a Breakout Session at the next MEWC. The RFP process for the 2019 MEWC is now closed. Please CLICK HERE to stay informed for when the next RFP process is open for the 2020 event.
2. Volunteer at the MEWC or on a MEWC Committee. We have filled all volunteer positions for the 2019 conference. If you would like to be in the loop for future volunteer opportunities, please CLICK HERE to fill out our volunteer intake form and we will be in touch if your skill set meets our needs.
3. Join the Board of the MEWC. The MEWC is run by a Board of volunteers who are passionate and committed to creating an event in Maine that delivers an unmatched experience that inspires, empowers, connects and educates. We are always looking to connect with women who may be interested in supporting our mission in a big way.
